Sue's garden was quite large with open views. It had a large rectangular lawn, some small beds and a patio. The garden was a blank canvas and although Sue had some design ideas herself, she decided to seek professional advice and so contacted Ian. A design for the garden was agreed and work began on the construction.
Sue wanted a contemporary feel to the garden so opted for porcelain tiles to replace the outdated slabs on the existing patio. Using porcelain also cut down on maintenance.
Two brick planters were constructed to give some separation between the patio and the rest of the garden.
A section of lawn was made into a circle with brick edging which then allowed a gravel access path around the edge.
To add some height and structure, a pergola was constructed which was perfect for climbing roses to grow over.
On completion Sue says
